The campground is surrounded by wooded acres at the gateway to the Irish Hills. We are a campground that offers a modern, clean facility for all types of camping. Our campground has many amenities to keep the whole family entertained and relaxed, including WiFi and Cable TV. Gateway Park Campground is currently a 99 site campground with 4 cabins and one rental trailer. We are a family campground; family owned and operated and we cater to families. The campground is located on South Sand Lake all sports lake, great for fishing in Hillsdale and it is believed that we got our name because we are at the Gateway to the Irish Hills here in Michigan. We added 24 channels of TV to all the campsite and added Wi-Fi to the park.

Interpreted is the natural origin of the Michigan forest, the lumber era, forest products of yesterday and today and the development of forest management. The 14 minute show orients visitors to the story of Forest Management from the logging era to the present. The Auditorium also hosts a variety of programs, videos and special presentations. The line, now known as the BMT Brighton Line , offered express and local train service that remains to this day. The trains emerged at Fulton Street as an elevated line and continued across the Brooklyn Bridge to Manhattan. Located on a glacial moraine that forms the beautiful, rolling hills of Henry County in north-central Illinois, the park sits astride a trail that led Native Americans from Lake Michigan to the confluence of the Mississippi and Rock rivers.
Originally known as the Henry County Conservation Area, a local newspaper invited the public to suggest names when the conservation area was going to be changed to a state park.
Most sites do not have full hook-ups, but if you visit in the off-season, you can nab one of the full-hook up spots which are normally reserved for camp hosts. We also visited Palisade State Park, which has a golf course and kayak/paddle board rentals, and fishing, as well as Bear Lake State Park, which is a stunning turqoise blue lake.

You can park it almost anywhere it will fit for at least a little while ha! Parking and living in a tiny house… Legally… very few places so far. Where to live is the one major sticking point understandably that prevents a lot of people from choosing tiny. It is a big investment to take for limited security. We were the only tent there but there were lots of RV’s. Campground is very quiet and close to Sequoia National Park. It is in a nice location and staff is friendly.

Yes, an actual good woodcock recipe: We start by chasing salmon on the Manistee river, then head above the bridge to chase pink salmon, and end up in southern Mi targeting bluegill. We also have a very good venison recipe on the show as well.
We also do some sturgeon fishing and do a little goose hunting as well. We have 2 great hunts, a youth buck pole, and a unique recipe on this week’s show. We will also stop in at a decoy carving competition, have a very good rabbit recipe, and a bragging board segment as well.
