Most and newer vehicles need to have isolation modules installed because the BCM Body Control Module monitors amp draw for all circuits. In other words, the computer knows you added lights, and it does not like it. I also want to point out this is a vehicle specific requirement and has nothing to do with the brand of plow light. I will add more detail to this page as time allows as I get many phone calls about this. I will answer the “Why do it this way? Because this way, we do not cut into the vehicle headlight harness. Rather than tear out the wiring and start over, we tried to save the customer money by repairing what was bad only. The splices under the battery turned to dust from the acid over the years. Thanks to a little help from my friend Jerre Heyer, we also found a blown headlight fuse. The light with the blown fuse was still lit dimly, backfeeding through a bad ground.

Single Cylinder with easy center receiver hitch hook-up. Increase efficiency by eliminating “back dragging” and turn around time. Clean at least twice the drives .
Do not exceed tour-pak weight capacity. Too much weight can cause loss of control, which could result in death or serious injury. Remove the two nuts that hold the pouch and liner in the Tour-Pak. Remove pouch and liner and carefully wash the inside of the Tour-Pak with warm, soapy water. Rinse and dry thoroughly. Use the alcohol prep pad in the kit to thoroughly clean the interior surface of the Tour-Pak sides where fastener strips will be attached. Make sure any residue is removed, then allow Tour-Pak to dry completely.
Make sure the surface is free of condensed moisture. NOTES The hook and loop fastener strips and organizer must be installed below the edge of Tour-Pak base to avoid interference with top gasket and lock. If you attempt to apply the tape below these temperatures, the adhesive will become too firm to adhere readily.
See Figure 1 and Figure 2. Remove the hook and loop fastener strips from the hinged hook and loop strips. Remove the paper backing and firmly press the fastener strips into the locations 1 shown in Figure 2.
We test a Polaris plow Written By: John Arens For those of us that live in a northern climate, the first snowfall is often a wondrous event. School children leap from their desks to gather at the windows, amazed at the fluffy, giant flakes that drift to the ground, slowly turning everything pristine, pillow soft, and white. Children rush home to build snowmen, people smile and wave at passing cars as they clean the drive, and all is well with the world, at least for a few glorious days.

The majority of the snow plow you will find out there on the market are made from steel, albeit, there are different types of steel and their quality thus enhances the performance of the snow accessory. Weight The type of ATV you own determines the snow plow that is best suited for it. The level of snows your shovel can push away is determined by the width of your plow.
Therefore, it is advisable that you get a smaller plow if your ATV is of smaller size and if your ATV is of a bigger size, then you should opt for a bigger plow. Design Snow plow comes in two designs the V — shape and the straight shape. The common type is the straight plows; they are lighter and cheaper as well. However, both have their distinct advantages just like the V-shape plow with an arrowhead design which enables it to slice through frozen snow effectively.
The lifting system There are three major lifting systems for the snow plow: The tires should hold the ground firmly so as to prevent the wheel from sliding and slipping when plowing snow. It comes in different sizes from 42 inches to 78 inches, made from aluminium, steel or polyurethane and it is available in straight, V-shape and tapered design Mounting Kit: The front, mid and the Rear Push Tubes: Used to keep the blade slightly above the plane to reduce damage to the surface caused by the blade.
Most commonly used in gravel driveways to avoid gravel being scraped up by the blade and pushed into the yard. Attached to the push tubes and utilizes leverage to lift and lower the plow.

Staff A snow plow is one of the most useful tools you can use with your ATV. Most snow plows follow a similar design, but recently American Manufacturing introduced a new trick for your old dog. Blade Basics Almost every snow plow is attached to the ATV by one of two methods; either a short lift arm and pivot bar bolted just beneath the front bumper, or more commonly, by a long, undercarriage push bar system.
A front mounted winch is the lifting mechanism in both cases, and the blade swivels on a pivot just ahead of the winch hook attachment point.

Equipped with everything you loved about the HD snow plow, the HD2 plow can be customized with a variety of optional accessories to meet your specific needs. With the HD2 snow plow, you’ll be raising the bar. A standard high-carbon steel cutting edge provides increased wear resistance. Structural Reinforcement The rugged HD2 snow plow blade is reinforced with 10 vertical ribs welded into a rigid framework, which provides additional structural support and torsional strength, even under heavy load.
Reliable Hydraulics We produce our own hydraulic system to ensure the highest standards of performance, quality and reliability, giving you a plow that is fast, responsive and built to last. All critical hydraulic components are fully enclosed for protection from the elements. The Scrape Lock feature hydraulically locks the blade down for cleaner scraping and back dragging performance.
Trip Protection Our industry-leading trip-edge design protects you and your equipment when encountering hidden obstacles. For improved efficiency and less cleanup, only the bottom edge trips, keeping the blade upright and plowed snow in front of the blade. The FISHER trip edge uses compression-type springs that never require adjustment and will not wear out like extension springs.
Unlike physical locks that can easily be cut or removed, the system provides a deterrent against theft by allowing you to electronically lock the snow plow’s hydraulic functions, rendering your plow inoperable to unauthorized users. Control Options Choose between a CabCommand hand-held control with push buttons or a joystick control, based on operator preference. For efficient, precise and intuitive blade control while plowing, both controls feature power “on” and “float” LED lights, backlighting for night operation, and plug-in connector for easy removal.
